Editorial standards and AI disclosure

AI helps us organize source material, propose angles, draft articles and flag claims for checking. It can miss context, confuse entities or produce statements that the evidence does not support. An automated check is not a guarantee of accuracy.

No editorial articles are published at launch. When coverage begins, a named human will check the final article against its sources and decide whether to publish it. Each article will identify AI assistance and its human reviewer.

We link to source evidence, distinguish a company's claims from independent findings, and identify estimates and uncertainty. We do not invent quotations, sources, experiences or test results. We describe work as tested only when the stated testing took place.

When an article uses AI-assisted imagery, an editor reviews it before publication. An illustration is not documentary evidence that an event occurred. Relevant commercial interests and paid placements must be disclosed where readers encounter them.

Material corrections receive a dated explanation on the article. See our corrections policy. Concerns: hello@aicoenews.com.
